  The purpose of the project was to design an electrical appliance, considering the actual shortage of raw materials and energy. This will change how products are used and designed. The focus will be on the full lifecycle of the product and on its sustainability.
  
  
  
  
  When using a water kettle, the customer usually fills the kettle unregarding the amount of water he needs. Energy is wasted to heat the unused water, and the amount of water, still present in the kettle, is often poured away the next day.
  
  Mefisto is a portable heating application. It can be placed directly into a glass or cup, so it will only heat that part of a drink that will actually be consumed.
